Team CMFAA cancer walk a great success!

“We still have unrecorded donations – we will top $3,600. CMFAA is a bunch of giving and caring people – proud to be a part of this organization. The credit for this year’s success goes to the Officers for their belief in the cause, generosity and drive. Thank you a bunch!!”

“First of all, I want to express my sincere pleasure of walking with a great group of people today at the Mass Walk to cure cancer.
it was the perfect weather for a five mile walk,.
This year, we did something for the fist time, and that is we had a picnic at the lake after the walk. We had our lunch box catered and I tell you– the fried rice and pork barbecue was the best !!

We raised over $3 grand for this fundraising event !!! Thank you so much to Trina who spearheaded this very important fund raising event. We also thank all of you who donated to this cause, and those who participated in the walk.”

Nicole Anterni – UMass Medicine Cancer Walk & Run

Two Sundays ago is the culmination of a very successful CMFAA fundraising for the UMASS Walk to Cure Cancer. It was a gorgeous day for a walk. There were new walkers in our group, 18 of us altogether who went for a 5-mile walk -although, 3 of us bailed out and waited for the rest. After the walk we had a simple picnic lunch at the Regatta State park and everybody said it was fun and tiresome but well worth the effort. My kudos to all the walkers and especially to all who donated to the cause – THANK YOU! The team raised more than $3,600.00. I hope that our modest contribution will translate into something that will benefit cancer patients and their families. I read somewhere “it is not enough to feel compassion, one has to act.” So till next year walkers and to the next team captain, please step forward! ?
