We, the Officers and Board of Directors of CMFAA, are writing to encourage your participation in and support of this year’s UMass Medicine Cancer Walk and Run on the morning of Sunday, October 2nd , 2022.
The UMass Medicine Cancer Walk and Run is the largest single day walk/run event in Central Massachusetts, and brings together thousands of individuals to raise funds that support the UMass Medical School Cancer Center in Worcester. More importantly, 100% of the money raised goes directly to support adult and pediatric cancer research, care and clinical trials of potentially lifesaving therapies, taking place right here in Central Massachusetts.
Many of us have known first hand, either personally or from close friends and relatives, that cancer can afflict anybody, no matter how healthy one thinks he/she is. For the sake of this present and future generation, let us help cure and prevent cancer.
Any support is greatly appreciated. As we have done for 16 years now, a group of officers and friends will be walking on October 2nd . We will proudly carry our CMFAA banner.
